My girlfriend and I were out at Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens in Richmond Virginia before everything was really growing outside. The Orchids were looking lovely inside the greenhouse. She enjoys drawing and water color painting and there was no one around. I did what I usually do and take pictures.

I walk in a near by park that has fields and woods to enjoy. Walking in the woods, which I did much of as a kid and teenager it is peaceful and rewarding. I past this No Smoking sign that was zipped to a small pine tree. Sad to say I still saw cigarettes along the paths that zigzagged through the wooded area.

I have a little kitten, not so much little anymore but he sometimes is a great subject to take a picture of, or if I’m testing the lens on the camera. Milo is his name and sleeping and running around crazy is his game. He is a great cat, but could chill out a lot more late at night as I need some sleep.

For my first real post, I am sharing some of my film that I have been taking. I have been shooting with film with a Voigtlander Bessa R2 which is a rangefinder type camera. It was released in 2002 and it has an Leica M mount. I put a ltm (Leica thread mount) lens to M mount adapter to use some Canon ltm lenses that I got before hand. I will write up my opinions of the Bessa R2 once I have shot more with it.
Today’s photograph was from the Bessa R2 with a Canon ltm 50mm f/1.4 on a Fuji color 200.
