First Landing

First Landing walk

I went camping down at First Landing State Park in late September. The weather was still nice and got in some swimming. I wished I got more photographs that were nice but it was more of a vacation rather than a photo excursion. The beach was calm then and just right and was pretty empty. Sat there and read a good book. The trails through the cypress swamps were really interesting because it is one of the only areas in the state that has them. Especially the Spanish moss, it usually grows a lot further south like South Carolina. The park is located in Virginia Beach, Virginia and has camping and plenty of things to do and of course a drive away from the Ocean front.

RVA – Richmond Virginia

rva

This is RVA or Richmond Virginia as the rest of the country would call it. This is my home city sometimes referred to as the River City with the James River flowing right by downtown. Richmond has their own class four rapids and lots to do for a small city. It has been burned down to the ground in the civil war but it grew back just fine!

Roanoke Cement

Roanoke Cement

Roanoke Cement factory is down the mountain in Catawba Valley. Most of the trail to Tinker Cliffs from Catawba Road is part of their private property but you are allowed to hike as long as you stay on the trail. Gorgeous scenery to been seen on the trail. I took my Canon 60D with me and my Fujica AX-3 with some Velvia 50. this was taken on the Fujica at 35mm.

Found his Pumpkin

He found his Pumpkin

Went pumpkin picking for the first time in a long time. The crop this year had a lot of great pumpkins even still after many people have walked the fields. This pumpkin patch has grown to where a lot of people come out to. I was with my family and my father picked up a pumpkin that he liked and asked for a photograph. I took out my Fujica 35EE that day and shot at 40mm at f2.8 of fujifilm Acros 100 black and white.

Sea Oats

Sea Oats

Sun was rising up in early October. Still war enough to swim out in the bay. The winds was lightly blowing over the grasses and oats and you just hear the rustling of them.
