Pike’s Place in Seattle

Pike’s Place in Seattle had a lot going on. There is the known tossing of the salmon but I didn’t know about all of the others foods that were there. You can even find the original Starbucks there but go early as that line is pretty long later in the day.

I used a X-Pro2

They had  a variety of crab and even whole Dungeness crab that they can pack and ship home for you.

Thanks for looking!

T. Potterfield Bridge

There was a new bridge that had opened up in Richmond for pedestrians. It is pretty awesome as it has wonderful views  and accessible from Brown’s Island. With the city lit up from the Grande Illumination around the holidays it is wonderful to stop and look.

Mt. Hood

I didn’t get a chance to hike on Mt. Hood but we did get to drive around it. The landscape out there is amazing and I already miss it. Tall straight trees like the cedars and fir’s is a change of scenery from the oaks and other hard woods back on the east. These volcanoes rise well above most of the other mountains in the area, covered with snow. Get out there when you can!

Dry Dirt

I have never been anywhere like this before where it was 90 degrees and up but dry. Virginia is a really humid state when it gets hot. This is at the John Day Fossil Beds in central Oregon. It was totally worth a trip even though it was a long drive but it was just amazing scenery for a guy who hasn’t seen this before. The soil ans rock are fragil and ask people to stay off of it but occasionally you see some foot prints of people that didn’t and those prints stay for a very long time.
