We checked out the fish ladders at Ballard Locks. It was pretty cool as you could watch them actively swim up the ladders and also watch the guys work getting boats through the locks small and large.

Hiking on Rialto
Railto beach in Olympic National Park has some wonderful stones and pebbles along with large drift wood. These hikers are headingg north up the neach to better views that I wish we had the time to go up.

Yale Lake Washington
I woke up early in the morning on Yale Lake not to far from Mt. Saint Helens. I went out to see if I could get a long exposure. There was a light wind that made small waves which is giving it that look around the rocks in the water.

Reflections
Going out after a good rain leaves some wonderful reflections on a lot of surfaces. When the sun breaks through the clouds the light shines and casts a lot of interesting shadows. I think I want to capture more puddles and light on the future.

Dead Wood on Mt. Saint Helen’s
What remains near Mt. Saint Helens was probably little compared to what was there before the eruption. There is still new growth that is coming in but this is one of the many dead trees lying in the pumice stone covered hills.
