Another year of Cherry Blossoms

The Cherry blossoms were blooming in Richmond starting March 20th and they are now gone from the rain and strong winds that we had after a gorgeous week. I missed the peak bloom this year in Washington D.C.. The tidal basin is wonderful to walk around but this past weekend had a ton of traffic and the crowds there are insane on the weekends unless you get there at sunrise which I hear still has a good number of people. Brown’s Island down by the James River in downtown Richmond has some blossoms and you have the skyline in the backdrop.

First Time at Libby Hill Park

My sister had just gotten a new job and wanted to go celebrate at one of the new brewery’s in the city. After a few drinks she wanted to see the sun set and I gave her a ride up to Libby Hill Park. Apparently she had never been up there and it was a great day with plenty of people watching the sun set. She couldn’t stop taking pictures on her iPhone so I grabbed a quick photo of her photography skills.

Volkswagen Van’s in the Snow

Occasionally I come across some nice old cars in the city. The first one was taken in Petersburg about a week after the good snow storm that we had, the second picture was in the city of Richmond sitting there in the Fan district.
