Shoren-in Temple in Ektar

I brought some Ektar film with my on my trip and decided to do some shooting. This is  nice temple with a great garden. Not to large but you can enjoy the garden from inside the temple and sit and relax. After you can take walk through the gardens and also around behind the gardens. Green all around from the moss and evergreens and maples.

Seaboard Lounge Car at Parksley VA

Recently I been going to the Eastern shore for work a bit this Summer in Virginia. There is a small town called Parksley in Accomack County not to far from the known Assateague Island National Seashore which has the wild ponies. At this town there is a little railroad museum that has a few interesting cars including a Seaboard Lounge Car that is steel clad and super shinny. Looked great for a black and white shot.

Walking up Fushimi-Inari

The mountain that the tori gates rise up on is splendid walk. I wish I have done it at night or right as the sun rose in the morning. there are a lot of little trails that branch of the main path up. Small shrines to stop at and enjoy. Mind you I got attacked a few times by mosquitoes. Some stones and little wooden tori gates are all over.

Taxi in Ginza

Walking in Ginza was a pleasure, seeing people walk with clothing that was more then my year salary. Great stores and I also came across a lot of camera stores that had some great gear. I ended up getting a Hexar in Ginza and was quite lovely. Used it on the trip as well. Waiting to cross the road I caught a taxi turning in the intersection before we headed to lunch with a friend.

Asakusa Kitty Exploring

We stayed at the Sakura hostel in Asakusa, Tokyo when we visited there this past May. Great area as you are right there next to Sensoji temple which is great. They air there is happy and there is stores in the area and easy to get on trains and subways to get to the rest of the city. Walking around in the morning you see drunk people picking themselves up and heading home, people working on opening there store or restaurant and kitties exploring like this one in this alley.
