Bottom by Film

I have made a post earlier before when I did a photography meetup and we walked downtown in the bottom of Richmond. I had also brought my Voigtlander Bessa R2 using Portra 125.

We checked out the farmers market where there was no one really since it was in the winter. Empty spaces were just sitting there with their number painted on the pillars.27830005

The amount of stickers all over the city is amazing. It is like the new graffiti.

But there is still some graffiti art all over…

Thanks for looking!

Golden time

Golden Time in the Grass

It was the golden hour up at Big Meadows in Shenandoah National Park when we took our walk in the meadows. The sun was setting and there was no more light about ten minutes after this photograph was taken. I took it on my Fujica AX-3 with a 50mm f1.6 lens at 1.6 with Velvia 50 film.

Italian Water Gardens at Longwood

The Water Garden at Longwood Gardens are nice and symmetrical. Pierre DuPont designed the entire gardens and calculated the hydraulics of the water. Another interesting part is that he made the back pools 14 feet long to make it look symmetrical from the viewing point. It has been there since 1927. I took this picture on a slight overcast day with my Fujica AX-3 on Fujicolor 200.

Longwood Lily’s

Pink Lillie's

I went to Longwood Gardens located in Pennsylvania with my girlfriend to enjoy the landscaping and flowers. It was a bit overcast that day but the flowers were still gorgeous. There is a lily pond that you can get to from the conservatory that has humongous lily pads and then these were blooming while we were there.
