Easter on Parade Richmond 2016

Easter on Parade has been a Richmond tradition for a very long time (40 plus years). About 25,000 people come out and walk up and down Monument Ave in the city for festivities. Usually food vendors and other crafts are out and people wear bonnets and also place them on their pets. Colors and outfits that relate to the holiday are worn. This year there was some misty/rainy weather that probably held people from going out but was still a good time. I took my X-Pro2 out and shot most images with the Fuji 60mm f2.4 lens.

Sun on Rapids

Belle Island in the City of Richmond is such a nice place to go take a walk, ride your bike, fish and just enjoy the James River. With a groupp of photographers we headed out to capture the sun set on a pre-spring evening that had the parking lot and island crowded with people since it was so nice. I had just received my X-Pro2 that day and was enjoying using thus far. Looking west this image was capture using long exposure with the Rokinon 12mm f2 lens over Hollywood Rapids. To the right side of the photograph is where Hollywood Cemetery is above the train tracks.

Fall on the Pipeline

The pipeline is a nice little trail down by the James River in the city of Richmond. You literally walk on the pipeline as the pipe is suspended over the river for away’s before it goes in the ground further up stream. If you want to swim in the summer I know some people go down there as well.

Taken with a Fujica AX-3 with 50mm f1.6DM lens on Velvia 50.
