Premium Boss

So back in May, my girlfriend an I traveled to Japan for two weeks. It was my third trip and it was her first. The time spent there was great and it was nice traveling with someone the entire time as my first two times I went alone. It was a change of pace for sure and I tried more drinks and food then previous times. My girlfriend is a chef so she was very interested in the culinary of Japan. I am all about vending machines and drinks, love them. I tried as much as I could. I am a big fan of Boss coffee and there were many different kinds that I tried on this trip. I can get my hands on Black Boss Coffee back here in my city but any others is a no go. I tried at least 12 other flavors and all were slightly different. I tried all that you see here. Look forward to more photographs from my trip both digital and film as I traveled with a film camera.

Kickstarter Project!

Hey everyone, it has been awhile since my free time I have been scanning film with my new scanner for better quality. I have decided to finally do a photo book from my trips to Japan. I called it 3X Japan for 3 different times. This last trip I use a film camera and a little bit of digital. This book will have film and digital images to show different shooting situations as my film camera was great for street photography. This will have a variety of images; landscape, cityscape, macro, street, monochrome  and nature.

My project page is here.

Girlfriend and Blossoms

I am pretty certain that I took a lot of pictures of the cherry blossoms this year. They were great and the weather was nice to view them. I took my girlfriend down to the paddle boat pond that is in Byrd park. Paddle boats were still put up probably from winter. Nice cloudy day. I used my Bessa R4M with Ilford FP5 film using the 50mm.

There is my sweet girlfriend enjoying our walk.

The blossoms are lined all the way around this pond. It is pretty nice and should walk around a lot more.

You can always go out there and feed the ducks and geese.

103rd Anniversary of Washingtons Cherry Trees

Girlfriend and I headed up to Washington D.C. as early as we could and we still got up there at the tidal basin when the crowds were large. The amount of people were staggering and we had tickets to the street festival “Matsuri” and it was to crowded to enjoy so we left with out trying the food. I did stop by at the Leica store though which was pretty nice. I still can’t get anything like that.

Pictures taken with my Fuji XPro-1 on 18-55mm and 35mm lens.

Here is the Jefferson Memorial.

Another angle, the blossoms were great. The weather was perfect and everything was full bloom. Glad it was  Saturday and not the middle of a work week when it would give way to a splendid day.

Azaleas of Spring

The best thing to look forward to after cherry blossoms is the Azaleas blooming and they stay around for quite aqhile. All the colors bloom at slight different times and gives the blooming a longer run. They were great this year, espceilay at Bryan Park in Richmond. They use to have a spectacular azalea garden but it has declined.
